Miles

I am a thousand miles from nowhere

And nothing's all I see.

I don’t know where I’m going

But at least I found me.

 

All the miles traveled,

I always walked alone.

Since the day I lost you

and had to relearn all I had known.

 

Time waits for no one

And I must be moving on

I will take the memories with me

Bury them in my soul so your never really gone

 

Put one foot in front of the other

Hide the pain behind a smile 

Look forward to nightfall

Maybe I will rest after the next mile.
